Introduction
Willow Ridge Studio specializes in collectable and everyday art created from wood turned on a lathe. Hardwoods
primarily from the Texas Gulf Coast region are used to create items produced by the studio. Woods used include
pecan, hickory, ash, elm, sycamore, sweetgum and, occasionally, red oak and come from trees that have died or
been removed because of construction. Mesquite from central Texas and mahogany from Central America are also
used.
This site has been created for your enjoyment and, if you are inclined
to learn more about woodturning, for
your education. Feel free to peruse the gallery, read about the process and equipment used, visit the recommended
links and leave feedback.
